Halstead: Pensioners celebrated group's anniversary

About 100 Halstead residents celebrated the 12th anniversary of a social club for older people.
Age Concern Halstead held the anniversary lunch, which included musical entertainment and was attended by mayor David Hume and deputy mayor Jackie Pell.
The group has met at Halstead's Senior Citizens Centre in New Street for 12 years but the centre is set to close in July to save £15,000.
Pensioners will be relocating The Bull Hotel in Bridge Street for their weekly meetings.
