Berger - momentum is with Halstead
10:10am Friday 3rd September 2010
Halstead Cricket Club chairman Stuart Berger feels the relegation-haunted Star Stile club are gathering momentum as they head into their crucial final two games of the season.
Matt Spatcher’s team head to Vauxhall Mallards tomorrow knowing that a positive result is vital if they are to have any chance of preserving their Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League status for another season.
Berger said: “We feel we have the momentum over Fakenham and Clacton but we desperately need a win.
“That would really take the anxiety out of the situation for us.
“They’re feeling very confident and it’s excellent that the team spirit has stayed high all season."
