Jim does not fear player departures
7:00am Friday 6th January 2012
Boss Jim Holder does not lie in fear of his best young players being prised away from Halstead Town.
Instead, he says the exact opposite applies as he and the club’s coaching team continue producing their conveyor-belt of talent.
Halstead’s form in the first half of the season has seen many of their top players rise to prominence.
However, Holder is not losing any sleep about the possibility of departures in 2012.
He said: “I don’t worry at all.
“That’s the exact purpose we’re doing this for, to help make these youngsters become the best they can possibly be.
“When you’re committed to developing young players, of course there’s a chance other clubs will come knocking.
“But if and when that happens, we’ll deal with it and take it as it comes.
“We’ll advise the players accordingly."
Town are away to March Town United tomorrow, in Ridgeons League division one.
